So I’ve been working on a list of potential sponsors and targets for donations to help fund training next year. We will be attempting to obtain some grant money this cycle but will hit grants hard next year. We’re looking at about $70,000 for a forcable entry prop and portable propane car prop for members to check out and use until they can be placed permanently on the training grounds. We would also like to obtain funding and sponsors for our swap and shop, and potentially manufacturer and vendor donations to be sold on the Associations behalf for funding for other adventures.
We are in the early stages of a training event for a Saturday late 1st quarter or early 2nd quarter 2023 that could include a bbq competition, food trucks, etc… We hope to work with other organizations and partner for some larger events at some time next year. We would also like to expand the SCFA course offerings by being able to fund our own instructors from within our member departments at some point. This will be paid for with donations, and other methods.
2023 will be an amazing year for all of us granted we’re willing put in the work.
